On Thursday 31st October, we went along to the London Ski & Snowboard Show, sponsored by us, to discover what the future looked like for skiing and snowboarding. There were free ski and snowboard lessons from beginner to advanced standard, free ice skating, tubing and curling, après ski style bars, alpine food, wine tasting sessions, resorts from around the world, chalet companies and tour operators, and over 250 brands exhibiting their latest in products and clothing.

We interviewed some of the most innovative brands exhibiting at the show, and experienced some of the best winter sport technology gadgets that they had to offer. From touchscreen gloves to mountable high-defintion cameras. There was no shortage of state-of-the art exciting products to marvel at! So, what does the future look like for skiing and snowboarding? Well according to our interviewees, it’s going off-piste.

Moving away from the standard routes and exploring wild virgin territory is becoming increasingly popular, allowing hard-core winter sport enthusiasts to reconnect with the landscape and get back to basics. And it seems our big brands are riding the wave, with more and more ski and snowboard equipment emerging that is specially designed to handle a less predictable terrain. More videos to come from the top brands at the show.

We’ve put together some of our favourite moments from the day, so if you couldn’t make it, here’s what you missed at the London Ski & Snowboard Show…
