(Luton, UK – 2 February 2017) – Keen traveller, 101 year old Harold Terry, recently returned to Yorkshire from a New Year break to Spain flying with Monarch. Mr Terry and his family frequently fly to Malaga and following their return flight to Leeds Bradford Airport in January, Harold, one of Yorkshire’s oldest residents, was full of praise for the airline and the excellent service he always receives from the cabin crew.
Harold was born in Bradford in 1915, during the First World War. He has more ‘life experience’ than most and certainly has many tales to tell! For the past 15 years, since the ripe old age of 86, when most people would be slowing down, he has been flying to Malaga to visit his son in the Spanish town of Fuengirola. Having flown with other airlines the Terry family found their Monarch experience superior to any other flights over the years.
Following the most recent return flight with Monarch Mr Terry has become an even bigger fan of the airline and was delighted to have his picture taken with the Cabin Crew. He said: “Monarch offers very civilized and convenient flight times alongside excellent seating space and general comfort onboard.
“The quality and care offered by Monarch cabin crew is beyond comparison and the company’s current TV advert is a true representation of the people they employ. Thanks to their warmth and superior service I expect to be flying Monarch again very soon as I am made to feel very special when I board the plane.”
Having withdrawal symptoms from the sun, Mr Terry is already planning his return to Spain and in celebration of his 102nd birthday in June, Monarch is offering Harold two complimentary return flights from Leeds Bradford Airport to any of their 10 destinations.
Monarch Cabin Crew Regional Manager Linda Latimer commented: “We feel honoured that Harold chooses to fly Monarch for his regular trips to Malaga. We think he must be our oldest customer!
“Our crew realise how important it is for every customer to feel valued and do all they can to make everyone’s journey as special as possible. We are thrilled that Harold is so happy when he flies with us and we look forward to welcoming him on board again very soon – hopefully to celebrate his 102nd Birthday!”
