Who better to get travel advice from than those who have been there, done that and often bought the novelty souvenir t-shirt.
Here are our five favourite wanderlusters this month:
Lauren from Something in Her Ramblings set up her blog to help women solo travellers with insightful stories and resources. You don’t just have to be a solo female traveller to find Lauren’s blog useful as we discover in her recent post on Faro. The capital of the Algarve, Faro is one of our favourite places in Portugal and we are delighted to see Lauren share our passion. Here she gives us the low down of five of the very best things to do while on holiday in Faro. These top attractions range from the old medieval city to its modern night life and of course the beaches! The rest of Lauren’s blog is also full of great insights into more of our favourite destinations.
Cate St Hill is an architecture and design journalist who blogs about her passion for all things travel as well as design and interiors. In this post Cate pays a visit to Nice on the French Riviera on what initially started as a work trip but Nice’s charms soon worked their magic and Cate had to extend her stay. Cate gives us a diary style guide to her days exploring the city, which turn in to the perfect itinerary for all those paying a visit. Cate’s detailed guide really has us itching to follow in her footsteps and explore Nice all over again.
Jeanne from Cook Sister loves to blog about three of our favourite things, food, wine and travel. The latter is our main focus here however, especially her skiing adventures. Until recently Jeanne had never donned a pair of skis and was a rather reluctantly learner to say the least (there were tears a plenty). Things soon changed though thanks to a thrilling combination of stunning landscapes and exhilarating speed. Here Jeanne gives her top tips for those going skiing for the first time. She has also written a fantastic post about skiing in Austria. A great blog for the skiing novice and pro alike.
Silvana from Single Mom Travel Style falls in love with fair Verona, and we can see why. Silvana’s post is like a love letter to the city which grows stronger with each and every step she takes. Through the post Silvana takes us to some of the most iconic locations in Verona including the Juliet balcony and statue. There are plenty of other insightful and interesting post on the blog including a great round of up some top films to inspire your travels and a guide to our other favourite V in Italy, Venice.
Carrie and Jeremy (a.k.a Mom and Dad) from Travel with Kids show us how it’s possible to travel to fantastic locations with young children. Keeping your kids entertained while on holiday can be a challenge, especially when visiting an unfamiliar location. Thanks to Carrie and Jeremy you’ll find plenty of helpful tips and guides on how to keep everyone happy on your next holiday. In this post, written by Kristin Graham, we are guided through some of the best family attractions of Barcelona including Camp Nou and the Sagrada Familia.
