    Last Saturday I flew to Venice with Monarch and I was impressed with the flight and the same with the return journey on Tuesday, clean bright plane friendly efficient service. The only thing was that spoiled the return journey was on buying 2 bottles of wine for £7.50 and paying with a €20 note, the change given in sterling was £6. This exchange rate was a little on the high side in your favour.

    But do keep up the good work, for Italy in particular, as you will see from our web site, we are specialists for Italian accommodation.

    This brings me to my next issue:

    My daughter, Nicola, who also works for the company is organising a fund raising ball in aid of a Manchester mental health charity. The ‘Dickiebow and Diamond’ ball will take place on 16 November at the Worsley Novotel. we have sold 140 tickets to local business owners and professionals with a high spending power. Worsley is one of Manchester’s most affluent areas, with many celebrities, some of them supporting the event.

    Bridgewater have donated a weekend in Tuscany for the live auction and we are looking for a sponsor for the drinks reception. Would Monarch like to sponsor the drinks reception by donating 40 bottles of Prosecco , in return for publicity throughout the evening and also on our website and – both with loyal followings.


    It is a great opportunity for Monarch to reach a local Manchester audience of ABC1 clients and as
    Prosecco is Italian you can market the Italy flights to a captive audience.

    The drinks sponsor package is either £250 or 7 cases of Prosecco – in return Monarch will receive the following:

    Banner advert on our established website – Italian property sales and rentals
    Article on our blog
    Logo will be advertised throughout the event: plasma screen at the drinks reception, in the event programme and you are welcome to supply promotional literature / special offers to go in each goody bag
    You can also supply posters / banners to brand the drink reception area

    Press coverage: We will be auctioning a tour of the set of award winning drama ‘ Downton Abbey’ by cast member Rob James Collier (see the link above) and this will generate a good amount of press coverage of the evening which Monarch would benefit from.

    Will Farmer from the ‘Antiques Road show’ will be the auctioneer on the night.
