  • I am avery very nervous passenger , and i hadnt been abroad since i went with my parents at 14 yrs old, iam now 45 yrs old and have started a new relationship with someone who loves to go abroad and get some sun ! so i plucked up the courage to go on holiday 2 yrs ago to cyprus with my 10 year daughter , and of course my boyfriend, we flew with thomsons , when i started to go to the plane i panicked then when i got on the plane i wanted to get off !! . I caused so much controversy to all th staff including the pilots!! . But i stayed on and we had our holiday.
I then flew to italy with ryan aire in a complete panick, but then we took a flight with monach to spain and what a differance , the plane seemed better quality , like rolls royce compared to thomson and ryan aire , we are going to portugal tis september and i will only fly with monach, i just wanted to know how old are your planes ? and how often are they maintained? i just want to fly with confidance like most people and have some reasurance that we aint going to crash , even though i trust monach more than any other airline. I run my own business and im always asking my customers who they fly with , and they all say “jet 2 or ryan aire” . Thank you for your time kind regards Julie Whitmore.

    • Hi Julie, thank you for your comment. I’m glad you have confidence in us and thank you for being so candid about your feelings about flying. You’re certainly not alone as lots of people feel uncomfortable in the air, even though it’s one of the safest forms of travel these days. Next time you fly with us please let your cabin crew know as you’re boarding (or even before, when you’re booking) and they’ll know to help you if you start to become upset. I can assure you that our aircraft are maintained to a very high standard by professional engineers, so hopefully this knowledge will help put your mind at ease. If you’d like to learn more about our fleet there is some information here on our website: http://www.monarch.co.uk/about-us under the ‘aircraft and regulations’ section. Let me know if you have any more questions.
